From raw timber to packed product, under one roof

We manufacture finished furniture and furniture components in solid wood and veneer to our customers' drawings. Oak is our main material.

From a destroyed workshop to a modern factory

A family story since 1996

Salkanović Tišleraj grew out of the joint work of Nijaz and Elnada Salkanović. They took their first steps in 1996, making wooden windows and doors, and step by step built a business that became an important part of our family's life.

Growing up alongside the business, we learned the value of hard work, patience and responsibility for what you make. Today we, their children, are part of the family story too. We continue what our parents started, combining their experience with new ideas.

For us, every space and every customer has its own story. That is why we listen to your wishes, understand what you need and approach every job with care, from the first conversation to the final detail.

Our family name stands on every product we make. It reminds us of where we started and of our responsibility to everyone who places their trust in us.

Our history, 1995 to 2026Hide history

1995

Coming home to a destroyed workshop. We start again.

1996

Nijaz and Elnada Salkanović found Salkanović Tišleraj. The first products are windows and doors.

2002

Our first CNC machining centre: the move from craft to industrial production begins. In these years their children, Mirela and Elvedin, are also working in the plant. The second generation learned the business on the shop floor, not in the office.

2005

Our team dismantles a complete wooden window line in Hamburg and rebuilds it in Odžak. By April the first windows roll off the line, made for the German market.

2010

The new Maasstad Ziekenhuis hospital in Rotterdam: almost 2,000 wood-aluminium openings and more than 20 types of glass, including fire-rated solutions.

2012

We fit out luxury resorts, villas and four- and five-star hotels.

2013 and 2014

We exhibit at the Bauen & Energie fair in Vienna.

2016

We buy another 15,000 m² of land, still a meadow at the time.

2018

Construction of our largest hall begins.

2019

We focus fully on solid wood and veneer furniture.

2020

A new production hall of almost 5,000 m² is completed.

2023

Our own 300 kW solar power plant.

2026

30 years since the founding. The story that began in front of a destroyed workshop is today a factory with 70+ people and customers in eight European countries.

Production

Everything under one roof

7,000 m² of production halls on 25,000 m² of land in Odžak. About 90% of the timber we process is oak.

Drying

Conventional kilns with 100 m³ and a 30 m³ vacuum kiln.

Solid wood processing

Cutting, planing and CNC optimising.

Veneer processing

Cutting veneer to length and width, sorting into 13 grades and splicing.

Gluing

Finger jointing line, classic vertical presses, a star press, an automatic edge-gluing press and a through-feed veneer press.

Machining

5-axis CNC machining centres, CNC dowelling machines and a CNC lathe with automatic loading.

Surface finishing

UV lacquers, UV water-based and acrylic lacquers. Roller coating, automatic and manual spraying.

Assembly and packing

Final quality control to ISO 9001 and packing for export.

Material combinations

One piece. Many materials. One supplier.

Modern furniture is rarely just wood. A solid oak table with metal legs, a chest of drawers with veneered fronts and a stone top, a glass display cabinet. We make the wooden parts ourselves and work with trusted partners for metal, glass and stone.

You receive a finished, complete product from one supplier. We do the final inspection and packing, so we are responsible for the quality of the whole product.
